Canberra Telugu Vanni and Samithi

Canberra Telugu Vaani is a Radio Program for Communities living in Canberra and Queanbeyan. The radio program is broadcast from the Community Radio Station 2XX FM 98.3 between 8.30 and 9.00 pm every Tuesday.

The CTV program started by Mrs Nagamani Gollakota and Lakshman Prasad in a small way in 1996 from a small community radio station near the Mawson Temple, Mawson ACT. Every Tuesday the broadcast between 6.00 and 7.00 pm was well received by Telugu speaking communities from India, Singapore, Malaysia, Fiji, South Africa and Mauritius . The broadcast moved to 2XX FM 98.3 Community Broadcast in 1998. Since then the broadcast has been going on with the anchor support of Rao Adiraju, Samba Murthy Manchella, Subbalakshmi Manchella, Bandi Narasimha Rao and other community members. Rao Adiraju has been shouldering the roster of the Radio program since the station moved to civic and continues to be the leader. On behalf of the community, we appreciate his and other community members support and assistance.

CTV programs include local news, information on ACT/Queanbeyan local community activities, information on ACT Govt Multicultural festival and activities, news highlights of the week from Andhra Pradesh, organise visits from interstate artists and overseas artists, provide and share information with new comers on the community activities, jointly work with other community groups to progress the richness of the Telugu Culture in the multicultural community of Canberra/Queanbeyan.

We welcome new comers to join as Radio Jockeys to the Radio program. Training will be provided to the new comers and a good opportunity to bring new talent to the Radio program. Please contact us on: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
